Shoppable vignettes, innovative merchandising, captivating product, and a vintage airstream. Spur Line Supply Company, located in the Sawmill District, has been realized in partnership between CEO and owner of Heritage Hotels and Resorts, Jim Long, and local entrepreneur and tastemaker, Tess Coats.
Spur Line Supply Co. is based around curated and edited vignettes that customers can shop through, offering the best in crafted and quality merchandise from the southwest and beyond, all centered around a minimal, high desert aesthetic. Secured concepts in the shop will include a men and women’s shop, children’s shop, record shop, stationery shop, apothecary, and floral shop with an outdoor living concept. There will also be an assortment of fine food concepts curated by visionary confectioners being brought to the store to be enjoyed through a community table concept that invites customers to enjoy a moment at the Sawmill District and with each other.
Having taken note of the need for more elevated and unimagined shopping experiences in Albuquerque, Coats pitched her idea for a lifestyle shop that would bring the best in crafted and exalted goods of the Southwest. Coats is best known for her initial start-up, Spectacle Caravan, a mobile boutique selling the best in local and artisanal products, and for her merchandising work at Anthropologie, The Grove Cafe and Market, and Betty’s Bath and Spa. Long’s portfolio includes a circuit of luxury hotels around the state of New Mexico including Hotel Albuquerque, Hotel Encanto in Las Cruces, El Monte Sagrado of Taos, and most recently, Hotel Chaco which is also located in the Sawmill District.
